Smalliebigs Posted March 3, 2011 Author Posted March 3, 2011 I passed the word along to Drew to get the map up of what the area the tournament will cover. Depending on what's O.K./off limits I may do this, too. Drew has been beyound busy recently since his release of the Jackson/Coosa.I gave him some trouble about the map for that tourney as well. Man I really hope you fish the tourney I think you will enjoy it, if you are going to let me know I would like to meet ya and talk some bs. I am planning on fishing Crooked Creek pending the wheather and water levels. Scott

gotmuddy Posted March 4, 2011 Posted March 4, 2011 There is no doubt I would be fishing CC. Where depends totaly on how much flow there is. everything in this post is purely opinion and is said to annoy you.
Zack Hoyt Posted March 5, 2011 Posted March 5, 2011 Very cool deal. If I wasn;t booked guiding that day, I would be all over it. I would like to see these become more popular. Zack Hoyt OAF Contributor Flies, Lies, and Other Diversions
Zack Hoyt Posted March 5, 2011 Posted March 5, 2011 I personally believe CC is better, but I haven't fished the upper reaches of buffalo. I agree 100%. Buffalo is nice, but CC seems to hold the size. Zack Hoyt OAF Contributor Flies, Lies, and Other Diversions

hoglaw Posted March 6, 2011 Posted March 6, 2011 If you told me I had to do a float on any given day and catch my three longest smallmouth, CC might be my choice too. I'm just concerned about making a 2.5 hour drive from the "weigh in" site and having to get back. You'd have to be off the water pretty early, which limits you to a quick float. I've got a couple of other places in mind a little closer to home. The one thing I couldn't figure out is whether this tournament excluded lakes. I saw something on there about no private ponds and no beaver ponds, but didn't see anything about impoundments. If you told me I had to catch the biggest smallmouth possible out of a canoe, I have two lakes in mind that are both public and in the general area, but obviously would have to plan differently if it's only moving water. Anyone know the answer?
