Members Troutdude Posted February 20, 2011 Members Posted February 20, 2011 Float fished the Current this weekend with a few friends. Had a great weekend! One of us found a vest hanging from a tree limb. It had to have been another floated as there was no way to wade or hike in to the location. If someone makes a claim I will fed ex it back to you if I am given the proper description of its contents. I would be a hot rocket if I had lost my vest in this fashion. I hope I find the owner.

Umm...fly box, couple leaders, tippet, indies, nippers, floatant, foreceps...I might be forgetting a couple things. I'll PM you my address. Thanks buddy!

ColdWaterFshr Posted February 21, 2011 Posted February 21, 2011 Troutdude, PM sent. I floated Cedargrove to Welsh on Friday and Saturday. Left my vest hanging on a limb right at the waters edge on Saturday morning. Would much appreciate getting it back. Thank you for posting this here!! Lots of hand-tied work in that vest. Thanks, Andrew
Members Troutdude Posted February 21, 2011 Author Members Posted February 21, 2011 Funny! A few of the flies are very unique and not store purchased, the likes of which I have never seen. I'm thinking a description of these would positively identify the rightful owner.
ColdWaterFshr Posted February 21, 2011 Posted February 21, 2011 C'mon, you're killing me, smalls. Asking me to identify my secret flies?? Paul Dallas would strongly object. I know the flies are ugly. I know they aren't classic. And I know firsthand that they don't catch fish. They will be a curse on whoever has them in their possession. They will drag you down and ruin you and poison your mind with evil thoughts of using your prized fly rods for firewood kindling.
ColdWaterFshr Posted February 21, 2011 Posted February 21, 2011 Just spoke to Troutdude. Thanks so much!
Members Troutdude Posted February 21, 2011 Author Members Posted February 21, 2011 Mystery solved, vest gets fed ex'd tomorrow. Really appreciate how well this forum works.
Gavin Posted February 21, 2011 Posted February 21, 2011 TD, thanks for returning Coldwater's vest. I guess you were in that bunch that floated into Akers around dark on Saturday? How did you do? Fishing wasnt on fire for us, but we caught enough for a fish fry on both Friday & Saturday night..#14 rubber leg red fox squirrel nymph was the ticket...9 on that on the RFSN & 3 on a black & brown Pat's rubberlegs on Saturday. Good weekend to be out. Gavin
