I know I'm a little late on this thread, but....

I completely agree with you MIC!!!! There are a lot of great people on this site and a lot great information but some people (ERIC1978) get off on telling people they're wrong.

Eric, you literally have to enter something negative towards the other members of this forum in 90% of your posts and then you don't let it go when people tell you they're tired of listening to you. Take a hint... Stop telling people how to act in the outdoors. No one on hear wants to hear it! Especially from you. I know it's tough to hear, but you don't know everything! The thing is, I agree with you on several issues, such as bed fishing, handling fish, conservation, etc. But your negative 2 cents every time someone posts a report or topic that isn't the exact way you would do it is really f'ing annoying!!! Everyone on this forum knows your views on conservation and stream anonymity... so stop repeating yourself and pissing off members of this forum who actually add valuable info.

MIC, I really hope you continue to post reports because a lot of people, including myself, really enjoy them. I love reading reports, constructive topics, and looking at pictures on this site because it's my way of enjoying fishing when I can't get out and fish.

MOsmallies -this is over the top. I don't keep track but there must be some history between you guys.

I disagreed with Eric but respect his opinion.

My apologies Lilley! No history... just sick of Eric's incessant rambling about how others should act in the outdoors. I'll tone it down in the future.

I enjoy the site!

Fish Question.Question about Crane Creek trout. My dad started fishing Crane about 1955. I started going with him about 1957. We would camp at the low water bridge 6 miles up from the James River. We would wade and fish up and down that creek. Dad worked with a guy who had grown up in Crane. They would take flyrods strip the wire guides and replace them with solid guides and run spinning reels on them. Run glass minnow traps and strickly fish minnows. We went down there at least 6 times a summer up until about 1963. We never caught a trout only smallmouth. Didn't fish Crane again until 1970,caught trout. I have heard that the McClouds have been in there for 100 years. My question is where were they in the fifties and early sixtys?

I've only caught trout that far down on Crane this time of year. The water gets pretty warm down there in the summer, although if you stand in the water where Crane dumps into the James you can have one leg 15 degrees cooler than the other.

I still love ya, Eric!

I enjoy your reports-you like me love fishing for small wild trout, and I like the pictures a lot. Keep them coming.

There are folks who will bash you on here. Do not worry about them, and don't stop posting reports.
