smbasser Posted February 24, 2011 Posted February 24, 2011 With all this rain that we have coming this weekend, and hopefully a 50+ degree rain, is that gonna turn the fish on up the river? With all the dirty runoff that should be coming in from the back of pockets, it's got me itching to come down and throw a wiggle wart and squarebill. Just felt like venting this am. Sitting at work and watched a bunch of boats headed to the lake this am...............
T-RockJaws Posted February 24, 2011 Posted February 24, 2011 We will have to get some good hard rain to dirty up the water much. The ground is soaking it up quicker than it can run off... Fishing should be pretty good this weekend though, I would suggest more of a jerkbait bite though. Need the water to warm a bit more before the wiggle wart really takes off. Big tourney going out of Kimberling this weekend, lake could get pretty crowded.

getfished Posted February 25, 2011 Posted February 25, 2011 You guys are killin me. Here in Totoland we are enduring a small mini blizzard. They are calling for 4" I believe. At least it won't be 9+ for the 4th time. Sunday was the first day I saw my yard this year. Now it's completely blanketed again and coming down hard. It's getting old. http://www.tacklespecialty.com/
T-RockJaws Posted February 25, 2011 Posted February 25, 2011 70 degrees Sunday with storms, then upper 50's all next week. Fishing should start getting good soon!

Ditto in the beautiful 66043 (Lansing KS), plus kids home from school again due to weather. Looks like 5+ with ice. If I pour any more grub heads I'll run out of lead and hooks, wake baits are curing, don't like to pour plastic when they are home, going stir crazy is coming on strong. Go rain. Maybe if it starts with the wetness we might actually see 907 or dare we hope 910 before April. Concerned for the spawn and the fish.
Members Fat Boy Posted February 25, 2011 Members Posted February 25, 2011 Where abouts in Ks you from getfished? I was born and raise there. Also Dtrs5kprs my daughter, son in law and 2 grandkids live in Lansing
