Fishing Buddy Don House Posted March 15, 2011 Fishing Buddy Posted March 15, 2011 Well opening day started off with a bang, was able to do something I have never done in 25 years of snagging, everyone in my boat was able to snag their own Limit of Spoonbill in one day.. Yup, Limited out!!! Think it ended out with Big fish at 76 pounds and the rest 74, 66, 65, 47. 43 just in my boat.. Then we had two other boats in out group as well total for the day was 13 fish, Tracy Frenzel boat had two with one in the low 70's as well.. All of our fish came from Flat Creek arm on the flats in 16 to 18 foot of water. If we got out in anything over that mark we were in dead water. 12 to 14 ounce weights worked the best for me as well.. Switching gears back over to trout for a few days then back at it on Friday... Bill Babler Posted March 16, 2011 Posted March 16, 2011 Great job Donny. That is a bunch of work to put that kind of string of fish together. You kept your boys in the right place, and I know from years of experence on Lake O, that is not an easy deal. Congrats. http://whiteriveroutfitters.com http://whiteriverlodgebb.com
edwin Posted March 16, 2011 Posted March 16, 2011 Great job, Capt Don!!! Looking fwd to the warmer weather over the next few days...my kids are really wanting to make the run on up to see the folks snagging the 'bills. Maybe we'll see you in the new G3 later this week. I'll be in my red/ silver Bass Cat. Well done! "Advantages are taken, not handed out"
Seth Posted March 16, 2011 Posted March 16, 2011 Awesome job! I bet those were some happy clients! I passed on opening night this year down there but will be down this weekend. My buddies dad and his buddy snagged at midnight up around Ashercane and said they hit 7 or 8 but only boated three between the two of them. Not horrible but not the best we've done. he said lots of fish were rolling and they would come up and run right next to the boat and splash water on them. Pretty cool.
duckydoty Posted March 16, 2011 Posted March 16, 2011 Nice job Don! Thanks for the report. Did you get any more good images on the graph? A Little Rain Won't Hurt Them Fish.....They're Already Wet!! Visit my website at.. Ozark Trout Runners

Members 140toesandfingers Posted March 16, 2011 Members Posted March 16, 2011 We will be there Saturday... if you left any fish. Plan on putting my boys on some and can't wait to see their eyes when they turn one.
