A buddy of mine is wanting to float while we got this flood on. Would any of the outfitters put anybody on the river when it's like this?

For liability reasons, I would highly doubt that.

the buffalo river is officially closed once the gauge at harriet gets 10 foot. It is at 12 now.

I floated yesterday and really whacked the smallmouth. I had a lot of chunky fish and one that was over 20 inches.

Maimed to Hwy 14. Water temp around 60. Rainy. I've got an extra kayak when you head sown again. I was surprised how somebody were already holding in FAST water.

Good work sir; I think you timed that flow upswing just right. What part of the river did you float?

We're a long ways away from active bronze backs up here.

You live anywhere near Chippewa Falls?

I used to live in Chippewa Falls back in the late '70's.

Didn't fish much then though. I do remember Chippewa Falls having some darn good parties though.
