HI,

Every spring we make a trip (or two) to Kimberling City and do some bass fishing. We mainly stay in (fisher, w. fisher, schooner, and the cow creeks) but are not limited to an area. We will go further if it is worth it.

I have read some fishing reports and watched Pete's fishing report @ http://www.hookedonbass.com/FISHREPORT.htm

We typically fish Wiggle Warts, PBJ Flash football jigs with green craw trailers, smithwick and BPS rouge baits, and the occasional salt and pepper grub.

We are coming down on Wednesday night 4/6 and plan to fish 6 to 8 hours a day until Sunday 4/10.

We are amateurs and would love any info you guys have to offer to make this trip one to remember.

Any help with location, depth, other baits, ect...

THANKS, MIKE

Keep on eye on every report and comment by Mr. Babler. That would be my suggestion. Good luck!

"A-Rig? Thanks, but no thanks. If I can't catch them on the conventional tackle that I already use, then I guess I just can't catch them." -LK (WHACK'EM)

Expect a lot of changes if the nights stay warm this week. Fish will have to move in eventually, and you have listed most of the places I like when they do. Might look at some of the little north places between 13 and Baxter also. Same baits, but throw in a little rig and a shakey head. Fronts and sides of some of the windy docks in Schooner, Fisher, down by Fish Hook usually hold some grub fish as they start to move in.

Have some friends going down this weekend, headed myself next. I'm mostly curious about how the gravel places will be fishing, or if it will take bigger rocks, and will there be any brownies on either. Would still like about another 3' of water, but wish in one hand...

And dittos on following closely any of the guide's posts and comments, even the short answers.

Thanks for the info.

We plan on putting in at Ahoy's and fishing the gravel point just past the ramp Wednesday night.

We have had some good numbers night fishing that spot, but nothing bigger than 2lbs.

I will try and update as we go along...

I'd fish both sides of all 6 points on the North side of the lake between Fisher and Mill Creek Ramp. (FB jig)

And try the gravel pockets on both sides of Pt 7 for smallies. (Fish Doctor split-shot rig)

If the wind's up, throw the grub on the long flat points including Pt 7 heading towards the dam.

Should be a good week!

Cows creek. Right side as you enter, way in back finger to the left and sand bank to the right, dock by Cows old ramp, ....transition banks galore!

But only good when two geese and one white fronted duck are on the big flat rock at the mouth with mixed clouds and wind from ESE.

How come you didn't give up a spot around Aunts?

Have to add a huge apology....I was in a hurry and thought I was private messaging him. Hit reply instead of send message. I try not to publically post spots.
