Bill Babler Posted April 16, 2011 Posted April 16, 2011 It's 5 in the AM and I am heded out the door. Will be fishing Aunt's today. I will try and stay out of the wind. It's ok right now on no wind. There will be wind everywhere today. Probably not the day for the fluke or the chugger. I am probably going straight to a head. Edwin and Dave both right on the head 1/4 to 3/8th. Good Luck http://whiteriveroutfitters.com http://whiteriverlodgebb.com
Members NuB2TR Posted April 16, 2011 Members Posted April 16, 2011 Okay... so if I was in 15 FOW, in the cove just off the point across river from Kings Harbor docks on the Kings, at 6:00 am, a week from tomorrow.....
Members 3inonegod Posted April 18, 2011 Author Members Posted April 18, 2011 Did what you said. All we had luck with was a grub. In the next day and half we caught about 30 with 7 keepers. Had a 4.5 LM, 3.5 SM, 3.2 SM with some spots mixed in. We caught a 14 inch spot that was as wide as a football. The seven keepers weight about 20 pounds.... Thank you for giving us a fun day on the lake.
chambug Posted May 11, 2011 Posted May 11, 2011 All the above was very interesting. Thanks. This points out the essence of an anglers forum. chambug
mixermarkb Posted May 12, 2011 Posted May 12, 2011 I fish Bull Shoals, but have been thinking of trying to get to know my way around TR, just because I'd like to fish a tourney circuit at some point, if I ever get to the point that I have time on the weekends free. When I go to TR, I will be hiring Bill Babler for at least a half day trip. Put in at Auntscreek ramp. Has not been a good year for me at T rock... Same here, nothing around point 10 yesterday afternoon/evening. Fished around point 9 this morning, caught one keeper K, a couple 14's and two nice whites. All caught swimming a 5" grub, smoke/silver flake. On the keeper we were in 40' of water on a point, the grub may have been down 20'-30'. "You can always justify putting off a decision... but you can't put off the results of indecision."
