ozark trout fisher Posted April 21, 2011 Posted April 21, 2011 Anyone know why that thread is locked? I have now read the entire thread, and I don't see any grounds whatsoever for that. These things are important and this seems to be the right platform to discuss them. Maybe I am missing something major, who knows. Maybe it's just my computer?
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted April 21, 2011 Root Admin Posted April 21, 2011 Chief asked me to delete everything but the petition posts. I locked it so that he could print it without any other discussion. He is taking it in to the sheriff's office in the am.
jdmidwest Posted April 21, 2011 Posted April 21, 2011 Looks like my post was one that was deleted, conservative landowner speaks, then gets deleted. Oh well, going to the Sheriff with an internet post list that starts off with a statement from the Blue Collar Comedy Tour will probably not hold much water. Your post was only meant to stir the pot JD. We did nothing illegal and your comparison of the hover craft would have been illegal as the airspace above ones property is also their real property. You seem to think that you know a lot more about the law than you actually do. Is your last name Prater? I have spent most of my money on fly fishing and beer. The rest I just wasted. duckydoty Posted April 21, 2011 Posted April 21, 2011 I just got off the phone with Serrif Ken Copeland. He more than welcomed me to come down and float Shoal Creek and ensured me that the rights of floaters and fishermen would be protected. He also told me that I would be well within the law to beach my canoe on a gravel bar and get out to wade fish. He did warn me though, that if I climbed up the creek bank and went far enough that I would at some point be trespassing and at that point he would protect the rights of the land owners. I agreed completely with his stance and felt he was a more than fare enforcer of the law. I thanked him for his time and clarification of the rights of both land owners and floaters in this matter. Unfortunately, it will not be till the Fall, when we return from Alaska. We are in the process of getting everything packed up and stored for the summer, so the fishing and hunting have to take the back seat for about a month. Then it will be fishing and hunting in the Wilds of Alaska every day till October. A Little Rain Won't Hurt Them Fish.....They're Already Wet!! Visit my website at.. Ozark Trout Runners
