Guest Posted April 24, 2011 Posted April 24, 2011 It's official. We've got ourselves a blockbuster flood event. The "little creek" behind my house is reminiscent of the Miss. River. Remember what happened at "Albert Pike"???????? That kinda damage is in progress throughout the Ozarks.... I pray for anyone camping near any of our rivers and streams tonight. It's bad, real bad. We could lose our barn (this is very likely now) and possibly our home to flooding. Thank God for insurance...
laker67 Posted April 24, 2011 Posted April 24, 2011 I wish you and everyone else the best. Floods are nothing to take for granted.
Gavin Posted April 24, 2011 Posted April 24, 2011 Best to you and everyone else......Its a scary feeling....We were down at the campground at Montauk on Friday night. The evacuation order came around 4:15 am on Saturday morning. Looked like everyone made it out in time.
Quillback Posted April 24, 2011 Posted April 24, 2011 Trophy, I hope you come out of this OK, it's unbelievable how much rain has fallen with more in the forecast..I hope the forecast is wrong.
Guest Posted April 24, 2011 Posted April 24, 2011 Looks like some areas are going to see almost 15 inches of rain over about a 3 day span. Every river will be completely changed, I can't wait to go back and see some streams that changed for the worst after the big floods from a couple years ago. I hope everyone is OK. Anyone have pictures? I took these at noon today, once the river crested and dropped out of the field, Its at full bank, but was out of its banks at dawn. Its raining hard again, and my neighbors are evacuating.
gotmuddy Posted April 24, 2011 Posted April 24, 2011 What a time for the generators to break down at norfork!!! Forget fishing norfork tailwater for who knows how long. everything in this post is purely opinion and is said to annoy you.
Guest Posted April 24, 2011 Posted April 24, 2011 The cops just roped off all 3 roads leaving our house. Things are getting worse. I hope the bulk of tonights storm tracks to the south of Fayetteville.
gotmuddy Posted April 24, 2011 Posted April 24, 2011 lake norfork has risen over 3ft TODAY. everything in this post is purely opinion and is said to annoy you.
