fly2fish Posted October 28, 2011 Posted October 28, 2011 Coming up to Branson today, will watch the game (Cardinals win) and then hit Taney afterward. F2F
Trout Commander Posted October 28, 2011 Posted October 28, 2011 Holy goodness gracious... that was the best game ever. Did you watch anything before the 8th inning? Simply atrocious. I have spent most of my money on fly fishing and beer. The rest I just wasted. The latest Trout Commander blog post: Niangua River Six Pack
Brian K. Shaffer Posted October 28, 2011 Author Posted October 28, 2011 Agreed... quite atrocious.. but the last 90 minutes of that game was the most exciting as I've ever seen. I watch a lot of baseball, heck.. I even watch the Royals. Glad to read that Phil got to see it too. Quillback Posted October 29, 2011 Posted October 29, 2011 Cards win! Holy cow, I would never have thought they would win the WS this year. I wonder if the Rangers will try and sign Pujols, LOL.
FishinCricket Posted October 29, 2011 Posted October 29, 2011 I'm heard the announcers say that Pujols TURNED DOWN a 9 year, $180 million dollar offer from the Cards. So to sign him the Cards will have to come up with even more, unless no other team meets his salary demands. He's 31 now, maybe 3-4 really good years left (barring injuries). Is he really worth signing to a 9-10 year contract at at least 20 million/year? Great to see the Cards win last night, what a change from the nail biters the first two games were. Cards were so close the 2nd game, if Pujols long fly to center had gone a little further, or if Molina's throw to 2nd on Kinsler's steal in the ninth had gotten there a split second earlier, Cards could be up 3-0. Yeah, I'm sorry, but that's just a ridiculous amount of money to pay anyone to do anything... :shakes_head: cricket.c21.com
KCRIVERRAT Posted October 29, 2011 Posted October 29, 2011 Congrats to all you Cards fans! Maybe next year we'll have another I-70 World Seri.... well, maybe not. OK then! Maybe the Chiefs and the Rams will meet in the Super Bowl this ye.... hmmm, another dead end. How's about this then! Mizzou wins the SEC in footba.... dangit, never mind then. Seriously tho... the Cardinals were awesome and it was a series to be remembered. Game 6 will be an instant classic forever. HUMAN RELATIONS MANAGER @ OZARK FISHING EXPEDITIONS

Brian K. Shaffer Posted October 31, 2011 Author Posted October 31, 2011 WHAT ???? LaRussa is retiring ? wait... that means no Pujols next year doesnt it.... hmmmm ??!!??!!
