Brian K. Shaffer Posted May 2, 2011 Posted May 2, 2011 That includes the gate flow.. 21,000cfs is a far cry from 67,500. Lets hope things get back to normal sooner rather than later. Won't be long my friends, Taney will be night-fishable soon. laker67 Posted May 2, 2011 Posted May 2, 2011 Hey Brian, I was wondering about the water temp on the upper lake. Do you have any way of checking surface water temps? Also, I was wondering where the hatchery's water supply comes from. Are they affected by surface water temps from the flood gates?
snagged in outlet 3 Posted May 2, 2011 Posted May 2, 2011 Hey Rick There was a post a while back showing divers cleaning dead catfish off the intake grate for the hatchery and it was pretty deep. Phil will know for sure. Pete
laker67 Posted May 2, 2011 Posted May 2, 2011 Hey Rick There was a post a while back showing divers cleaning dead catfish off the intake grate for the hatchery and it was pretty deep. Phil will know for sure. Pete I must have missed that one Pete. It makes sense that they would have a deep water supply and not be at the mercy of the surface water temps. Thanks.
snagged in outlet 3 Posted May 2, 2011 Posted May 2, 2011 I'm sure Phil will chime in. I saw on the Tablerock forum that guys reported temps in the high 50's with a few near 60. So in that regard we should be okay below the dam wouldn't you think? Pete
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted May 2, 2011 Root Admin Posted May 2, 2011 49 yesterday. This is much better than 40 before the flood.
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted May 2, 2011 Root Admin Posted May 2, 2011 For those interested - speed of the current at full tilt the other day was 6.8 mph in front of our place.
Brian K. Shaffer Posted May 4, 2011 Author Posted May 4, 2011 Just FYI, 713.2 and still running 21,000cfs. Brian Just once I wish a trout would wink at me! ozarkflyfisher@gmail.com I'm the guy wearing the same Simms longbilled hat for 10 years now.
