Wife just left for Peru with a bunch of other women, so I've got the house to myself.

Somebody drag me away from this easel.

Can you say "PARTY!!!!!"

At least it will take your mind away from having to think about not fishing and it would get you away from the easel.

There's a fine line between fishing and sitting there looking stupid.

Ha! Coldwtrfsher took pity on me and invited me to go with him and his buddy this afternoon, short float on a nice creek. Adequate numbers of fish were caught by all, smallies up to 17.5 inches (on topwater, what could be better), the water was beautiful, company was great, and I'm a lot happier now...except that I want MORE!

It started off as a rough year for me too for fishing...I had very little fishing until about the end of March.

I have been able to change that since then though, although most of my fishing has been of the stillwater variety this year.

Good time, Al. Paul Dallas enjoyed it. Good company, good fishing, but need much more.

Yeah, from what I understand, Paul Dallas enjoys anything that involves booze, cigarettes, and spinnerbaits.

Sounds like Dallas and I would get along famously...we share the smartass syndrome, too. Now if he could just stop makin' trouble with my boys.

Effective immediately: no more cigs for Paul. And no more portages >50yards. I ache like a rented mule.

The put-in and take-out were almost longer than the float!

I know what you mean. I haven't been since October. been out of work for 4 months; only got back to work early March. I haven't even bought my fishing license yet for the year.
