Just wanted to give an update and say thanks for the info on where to fish. Everyone’s input made for a great weekend of fishing. Here are a few pics of my son’s first trout on his fly rod he got for Christmas. We have been working thru the winter practicing tying on flies, leaders, tippets and casting in the field across from our house. We also practiced during the spring at a local lake. That was a great learning experience for him. All the practice paid off when he hooked his first trout. He hooked it, landed it, placed it on his stringer and then cleaned it all by himself. The cleaning part shocked me. Of course, he had to use his new 2$ knife I bought him at the Bennett store.

I think I was more excited for him than he was.

Next is my daughters turn. She didn’t catch any this time, but we are going to Roaring River in a few weeks. Maybe that will be the place for her.

Once again, thanks! This is a great group of people at OAF.

Sweet...I love it when a kid has a great time fishing. When I was there a couple of weeks ago, I had the sweet spot on the end of the handicap pier in Zone 1 for the opening bell. A 10 year old girl came up with her dad. I insisted that she take it, and her dad was amazed. She ended up pulling in 10 trout in an hour. Do I regret it...hell no. I had a blast talking to her about it in the camp restaurant during the breakfast hour.

Jack, for the pics...

If you have a Windows machine. Go to the start menu (bottom left), then programs, then accessories, and click on paint. Open your file in paint. Then click Ctrl A or select Edit and Select All. Next go to Image and click on resize or Stretch/Skew. Next, lower the percentage. 30% normally works for me. Then hit save as, rename it. Then post the file.

Very cool! He'll never forget that time. That's about the exact age I was when I first fished Bennett.
