I don't seem to have those kind of problems. My problems come from pulling into the garage with a couple of inches to spare all around. Super glue is holding the top of my cowling and there are a few holes in the dry wall, not to mention how many oil bath covers I have shattered.

Well, got to go....trip today. Taking an highly decorated Vietnam War hero and Blue Angel pilot and his wife out today. Will be a great day.

This I understand all too well....9' garage doors, about 1" to spare on either side of the fenders on the ranger, have to hold the door back and up farther with clamps and back in with the motor trimmed down to clear it. Won't go into the time I forgot to take the front seat down before backing it in. Someday I will take a picture of the clearance and post it to give everyone a good pucker moment.

That post makes me laugh and recall some other stories I have heard. My brother and Dad was guides for years on the White River and had some real adventures with some fisherman. They did not make a lot of money but made a lot of memories.

Ouch, tough on the budget for sure. Ya take the good with the bad in every line of work I suppose. I respect that you kept your cool.

(I wonder what their casting that won't backlash when you try and cast a butt seat, or push the button on hookset???? It must be custom texas secret stuff!)

I'd like to thank my FUTURE sponsers: Falcon Rods, Jewel Bait Co, and Seagar

This is a funny post Bill. At the time it's a little difficult to stay wrapped. I feel your pain. I got a buddy who didn't have a bass rig. I was happy to have a partner to fish with. He was never too helpful during those times when ya need a hand, like fishing around docks when the wind is blowing. He would assist in preventing damage to the boat if he wasn't "busy". I had to watch him cause I never could tell if he was going to reach out and protect the boat or not. His comments whenever I brought this subject up was basically looking me straight in the eyes and shrugging his shoulders while saying, " I don't know what the big deal is, it's a fishing boat".

The day came when he bought his first bass rig. I dumped him in the water and parked his truck. When I got down to the dock he was on the front deck extending a towel and asking me to wipe my feet ! Bwwaaaaaaaaaaaaaa! Ya never can tell about people.

Well Bill, at least you still have the baitcasters. If your ever fishing the point across from Viney Creek and you reel up the most expensive rod and reel sold on the 80's, feel free to use. It WAS my all time favorite until the gentlemen casting, let go of the rod as he cast it, straight into the water. I'm sure it back lashed too, so you may have to untangle.

Ouch! That's a rough trip. Some people are UNREAL! The red flag to me is when shortly after meeting someone, they have to tell you about their credentials or how great they are. That's a SERIOUS red flag in my book! :bouaaaaah:

A buddy and myself caught up for a trip with Beck this spring, and had a great time. The stories ALONE made it a blast. Not to mention his knowledge. His (and your) patience are amazing, I don't think I would be able to hold myself together! :eyes-on-fire:

Dave, be careful backing that Ranger of yours in the garage, that thing is beeeeeautiful! :have-a-nice-day:

It looks like this maybe the year for me to book a trip with Babler, given the above post sounds like I have a chance not to be the worst trip of 2011. I always enjoy Mr. Babler's posts but this one made me laugh hard. Funny Funny stuff. I am not a professional angler, but recently removed a treble hook from stone@therock's back on devil's backbone and did stay at a Holiday Inn express last night.
