I think that's great news! I really prefer Cabela's over Bass Pro Shop. I have been in the New Orleans Cabela's a couple of times and really liked it. I've ordered a lot from them over the years, and Cabela's and LL Bean are my favorite outdoor mailorder suppliers. Bass Pro Shop in Springfield is a nice store but their fly fishing shop doesn't do much for me. Last year I tried to buy some waders at Bass Pro, and they had no idea of what size fit what, and did not even have a list of sizes offered by each company. The waders are just hanging in a corner and none of the employess knew squat about them. I said to heck with Bass Pro and bought some Simms waders in Branson.

That's great news. My son lives in Rogers. Guess I will be visiting him more often. I hated to see the old Sportsman Warehouse close. They had a pretty decent flyfishing dept.

Dave, Cabela's has always carried a really good selection of flyfishing gear. Go online and order one of their flyfishing catalogs. You'll enjoy it. LL BEan also has a fabulous flyfishing catalog.I'll make a beeline for Rogers when the store opens. My family and I get to Rogers often for that great Chinese Buffet restuarant there....best I've ever been in.

Bill,

Yes, I get their catalog every year and have been in several of their stores around the country. If you are ever in the area of Sydney, Nebraska be sure to stop in that one as it's one of their biggest. The store going in at Rogers doesn't appear to be very large at 100,000 sq. ft. The one in St. Louis is 130,000 sq. ft. and it's not overly large. I'm just glad they are putting one in at Rogers regardless of size-plus it's only about five minutes from my son's house.

What Chinese buffet are you referring to in Rogers?

I'll get hit for sales tax on my future orders. I'm not real likely to make it over to Rodgers.

Heart be still! Elizabeth I'm com'in to join ya! I really do prefer Cabelas over BP. I think someone already said it, but they do have more fly fishing supplies and I have never had a problem ordering with them. For me it's actually a litter closer than Springfield or the same distance. Either way I will be going as soon as they open.

Don't know if it's the same buffet, but Linn's is a great Chinese buffet. Can't remember the 540 exit number, but it's the exit where Lowe's is right by the freeway. Go west about 1/2 mile, Linn's is on your right.

That will be nice! Usually hit the store in KC when up that way.

Had to go down to Rogers to shop at Academy, miss the Joplin store.
