Mark Posted September 2, 2011 Posted September 2, 2011 Good read Al. If you tell me where the creek is (in private, of course), I'll have my girls take it easy on you at Sunday/Wednesday night basketball games. A tip for leaving coolers out at night - leave some garlic or onion on top of them and critters will leave it alone.
Members creekin bassnerd Posted September 2, 2011 Members Posted September 2, 2011 I dont know about using garlic, but one time I had raccoon rooting around in my stuff and he took a big bite out of my onion. If I hadnt run him off I think he would have eat the whole thing.
kevthebassman Posted September 3, 2011 Posted September 3, 2011 Kev, pm me sometime and we will go there......we need a second vehicle for the shuttle....preferably a truck or something that can haul my little canoe/kayak trailer. I have been staying away from the olde creek for two years now and I hope the locals haven't destroyed it yet???? I'm down, I've got a truck with a hitch and an 8 ft bed. Work's pretty crazy lately, you're not one of those fishermen who shun the water once deer season starts, are you? May be mid-September to October before I get a chance to sneak away.
Mitch f Posted September 3, 2011 Posted September 3, 2011 Really enjoyed the story, thanks Al. Love the Hemingway pic, that guy was cool before cool was invented "Honor is a man's gift to himself" Rob Roy McGregor
