This might shed some light on the generation pattern. It's from Jeff Williams at AGnF.

"Also, last Friday I received notification from the Corps of Engineers that they intend to maintain the current maximum generation levels for the next week even as DO levels are expected to drop into the 3.8 – 3.5 mg/l range. The Reservoir Control folks cited a reduced capacity to evacuate remaining flood waters as a result of the maximum generation restrictions. Although the lake elevations are well down from what they have been, I think they are trying stay ahead of any tropical storms that may come our way."

You can read the whole post on Wilson's website under the low DO thread here:

Pete- I posted the same info from Arkansas on OA. But I think they're talking about below BS dam and referring to BS's level being so high. TR's level is below power pool now so I don't think they are thinking about dumping water- but I don't mind. In 2008, we had a real melt down when they had to run flood gates in September. I believe it killed a lot of trout, mainly browns. So no one wants to see that.

That being said, it's typical the last few years that the Corp runs a minimal amount of water during the fall for whatever reason. I do wish, like you and most of us, they would leave it off some during the day. We'll see.

I have not heard from jeremy yet. They have not posted the schedule for the weekend yet either.

Fishing in this monsoon has been tough. I have the gear to stay dry but the water gets offcolored. And the fish aren't interested.

`Well Jerod, seems as if you rarely catch the conditions as ideal at taney. Sorry, been in the same boat many times.Between working late and the weather, I chose not to go last night. Sounds as if I made the right choice as far as the weather was concerned. Not to mention the one unit of generation. One unit is probably the worst that you will encounter. It seems to hold the fish off the banks more so than any other combination. But then again, they still stack up in the outlets. Nothing keeps them out of the outlets, not even the trotliners can do that. They just slow down their progess somewhat. Micheal Kyle spoke of three big rainbows that he caught the other day. Said they all had multiple flies and leaders hanging everywhere but their mouths. Hope tonight is better for you. Give us a report.
