TRRANGER Posted May 17, 2012 Posted May 17, 2012 I was wondering if you had to attend the registration at the Bass Pro's if we have registered online? Can you have someone in your boat not fishing to net fish/follow text updates for you?
OBBT Staff Posted May 17, 2012 Author Posted May 17, 2012 You do not have to come to Bass Pro if you're registered early online. No, every person in the boat must be a registered participant.
jolicious Posted May 21, 2012 Posted May 21, 2012 OBBT; Just wanted to say a big "Thank You" for putting on the tournament. Personally, I didn't get anywhere near any hourly money, but even when I brought in little 2.5 pound bass, you guys made me feel like a pro for a few minutes! Great job, and how soon can I sign up for next year's Table Rock event (becuase the rod is AWESOME!) Thanks a bunch!

Great job, and how soon can I sign up for next year's Table Rock event (becuase the rod is AWESOME!) Thanks a bunch! x 2. I didn't cash a check and couldn't catch anything that was over 2.25lbs so I just released them at the marina and didn't weigh them in. I was there on Saturday from 3-4 for the BBQ and Beer and it is just a class act and great event. I would sign up again right now in a heart beat for next year. With the chance of winning a boat/cash running through my head/heart for about 8 seconds, before I saw the black and brown camo pattern of a flathead rise up from the depths dashed my hopes, was worth the entry fee. That little 5 lb catfish got my heart beating there for a minute. Should have eaten him for dinner for playing such a mean trick on me! Add a nice little rod in there and what an event worth every penny. All the reps and guys working the tournament were great and KVD is not a pompous a$$ that he could be being that he is the "Michael Jordan/Babe Ruth/etc." of his sport. Very nice and humble guy it seemed to me. Again many thanks and PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE put this on again in '13. Already looking forward to it next year. -Brett
Members sholder02 Posted May 22, 2012 Members Posted May 22, 2012 It was fun...but PLEASE add at least one more weigh-in location! It would open up a lot more water. I heard LOZ had 3.

We definitely understand the challenge with our location but it isn't going to change anytime soon. We are there because of Bass Pro Shops and our partnership with them. Part of the initiative for this event is to provide anglers a very unique and special tournament experience, one that can't be replicated anywhere else. We provide food, drink and hospitality for two straight days and the staff at Big Cedar do an incredible job. Secondly, and we don't say this arrogantly or to down another tournament organization but the assets that we deliver into our events are substantial and it's simply not the same set up etc. and to try to split it up just wouldn't make sense and would deter from the overall event experience. We hope everyone understands and doesn't let the location keep them from enjoying this event and incredible venue. Thanks to all the anglers who have fished with us the last three years and we hope to see you next year. Mark
