rps Posted November 17, 2011 Posted November 17, 2011 " If my fiance didn't here the term "wiggle wart" for the rest of her life she would be a very happy lady." Now don't you go comparing the need to have every wart, in regular and magnum size, but only original series, with some dandified collection of individually filed and numbered jerkbaits. Real men throw and wind. They don't throw, look at their line like they are constipated, and then twitch.
abkeenan Posted November 18, 2011 Posted November 18, 2011 Don't feel bad, I just started with my anual go through all that fishing junk and get rid of what you don't use anymore and I have allready found a number of 'when the heck did I buy this' lures. So I am swearing off buying any new lures, oh wait a drop shot hook that is hooked up with a swivel system, wait that's not really a lure and they only cost $4.00 a packsge and I'll only need 2 or 3 pkgs of each of the six different sizes and wow those are some great looking hand poured drop shot worms here and whats that over there........ Hahahahahahahahaha. That last sentence said a mouth full. darn you Bass Pro darn you!
Quillback Posted November 20, 2011 Posted November 20, 2011 If you're looking for a less expensive, smaller profile, suspender, these River 2 Sea lures have worked for me. Comes with Daichi trebs. For $6.99 it's a good value. Spro McRips are a good option also when you want to fish a little deeper than the McStick. So many baits, so little time http://www.tacklewarehouse.com/River2Sea_Suspen88/descpage-R2SSM.html

I am going to need a lot more than 12 steps to rid myself of having to have "IT".
Quillback Posted November 20, 2011 Posted November 20, 2011 Abkeenan, I have the same sickness that you have, I would list all the brand names and colors of jerkbaits I have, but I don't have 2 hours to spend listing them. But they sure do work, even if people like rps call us wusses for fishing them
RSBreth Posted November 22, 2011 Posted November 22, 2011 There will be a deeper-diving version of the Vision 110 next year - the 110 +1: http://tackletour.com/previewmegabassbaits2012.html (Scroll down).

Nooooooooo!!! Not another version of an expensive jerkbait! Using a deep diving, $25 dollar bait around cover - that's a scary thought.
rps Posted November 22, 2011 Posted November 22, 2011 When forced to fish jerk baits, I suggest the Xcaliburs. http://www.xcaliburtackle.com/hardbaits.asp
Whack'emGood Posted December 6, 2011 Posted December 6, 2011 When forced to fish jerk baits, I suggest the Xcaliburs. http://www.xcaliburtackle.com/hardbaits.asp When forced to fish jerk baits, I stay at home. This next emoticon is me throwing a jerk bait... Now that's funny, right there. Whack'em "Success builds confidence, and you have to learn to trust your instincts and forget about fishing the way a tournament is supposed to be won. I'm going to fish my style and make it work for me." -KEVIN VANDAM "Confidence is the best lure in your tackle box." -GERALD SWINDLE "A-Rig? Thanks, but no thanks. If I can't catch them on the conventional tackle that I already use, then I guess I just can't catch them." -LK (WHACK'EM)
Champ188 Posted December 7, 2011 Posted December 7, 2011 Whack Em, you n me are pretty much in the same boat. I'll throw the dadgum thing if I have to and somehow I've managed to collect four of those Falcon flat boxes full of them. But since I quit smoking a year-and-a-half ago, I can't figure what I'm supposed to be doing between twitches.
