Quillback Posted December 13, 2011 Posted December 13, 2011 Can't say that I'll miss him, hope the door doesn't hit him on the way out...
Wayne SW/MO Posted December 13, 2011 Posted December 13, 2011 I would like to see Romeo get real chance. He's an above average defensively coach, and that might be an understatement, so he could be a better than average head. I know about Cleveland, but different players and different org.,who knows. It's common for coaches to have different results indifferent circumstances. Now if we could replace the bench boys, Cassel and Plako. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
Justin Spencer Posted December 13, 2011 Posted December 13, 2011 Cowher's my man too, but we need to keep Romeo if we can. And trade up to get a QB in the draft. RG III? exiledguide Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 Cowher's my man too, but we need to keep Romeo if we can. And trade up to get a QB in the draft. RG III? That's never going to happen. He wants too much control. I don't follow KC much but were not they in first place until there QB got hurt. I think there are going to be a whole lot more firings soon. I think Cower would be more inclined to go to Miami or Indianapolis or Dallas. I can't see the coach at St Louis keeping his job either.
Flysmallie Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 I would like Cowher too but that would be tough. Regardless we need Cowher back in the NFL. I miss watching him on the sidelines.
Wayne SW/MO Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 Yes please. RGIII X3 The only guy to sit on the bench more than Cassel in the last 8 years or so is Palko. Cassel is an above average backup. I've watched the Chiefs since they stepped off the plane at Municipal and they interviewed E J Holub. They brought a franchise QB with them and haven't had one since. Blackledge was a good candidate, but Levy wanted a quick show. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
ness Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 Yeah, I remember being jazzed when we picked Blackledge in '83. Best QB of the bunch in the draft, by far. BTW, what ever happened to those others -- Elway, Kelly and Marino? John

BTW, what ever happened to those others -- Elway, Kelly and Marino? I hear ya... all those other three got for their efforts was a worthless bust in their image that got stowed away in some warehouse in a downtroddin' rust belt town. Blackledge on the other hand landed as an ESPN anal-yst, where all the great ones go! (Apologies to Steve Young and Jerry Rice for the sarcasm... ) HUMAN RELATIONS MANAGER @ OZARK FISHING EXPEDITIONS
