He'll end up breaking or losing them anyway.

That's why we have to keep feeding them to him. These are already his, he just hasn't taken possession yet.

I still have two in my garage waiting for ya. We need to make the swap soon or just wait for the trip.

As busy as we have both been it may have to wait until then. I hope to do it before though. I caught hell the last time I took Preston's rod to Crane! I'll let you know if I can make it by sometime when you are in town.

Stop encouraging him...he doesn't need any more rods OR reels. He'll end up breaking or losing them anyway.

I have spent most of my money on fly fishing and beer. The rest I just wasted.

( i do like how the birds on the bat show thru on that picture )

Tim - I have this Large Trout Bodgan... but I think I will hang onto it cause it is RHW :

Laker - I have only the 45L at this time. I saw that 67M which sold a few weeks ago and before that one its been a while since I have seen a 67Light. My 45L with 2 spools is still here if you ever want the need to 'lighten up'... and I see them come up a bunch, but not so often the 67L.

I do have the Orvis 7wt equivalent - The DXR :

Trout Commander - I love my Pflueger Gem. I've got a real early one in 'faux' spitfire finish. It's so smooth. Remind me to send you a shot if it.

thanks for the reply Brian. You come up with a 67, I have got a 78 I would trade even up.

Sorry Brian I am normal, :) wouldn't want a RHW anyway, but if I had one more Bogdan, that would make me an even 10 and that would be plenty.

Brian, it would be for bass and it would be used occasionally. I am partial to Ross.

John

jwpage - an 8wt Ross reel.. hmm.. I only have 2 Ross reels.. the original R series (but thems I'm keepin)

Which model you looking at ? For bass or for bigger fish ?

An 8wt gives you lots of options John... will it be your go to reel on a daily basis ? or seldom used ... ?

John - did you happen to see the Orvis DXR I posted the photo of ? It was made by Ross for Orvis in the middle 90's. I am sure I can find you an Orvis catalog from the era ... I believe retail was around $265 or thereabouts.. they said it was the toughest reel available at the time.. as in you cannot scratch it. The ad showed an Abel being scratched with a knife, but the DXR would not take a scratch. This reel is super clean tight reel, spare spool, lines on both and boxes.. paperwork.. everything.

(I do have the Ross R2, original Ross, but its a 4wt.)
