Been runnin and gunnin the last three or four days with my wife, brother Dave, and my wife's kids hunting ducks all over southwest Missouri. We started on Table Rock lake with the wife and her daughter. I posted a report on that hunt already. Then my brother and wife's son came into town. We went over to Upper Bull Shoals to see what was happening over there. Not much. We dropped one wigeon. That afternoon we headed over to Table Rock and put out 4 dozen goose decoys in front of a spot where the geese like to roost some times. Well about 6 minutes after shooting time, they came in. We headed home and changed all the gear around, took a short nap and headed to Schell to try our luck. Drew pill 35 outta 38 parties and ended up in G2. Should have brought all the goose decoys out there because we had Canada's flying over all day. Ended up getting 3 greenheads between the 3 of us. All the birds came off the refuge and filled the pool after shooting time was over. This morning we were back on Table Rock chasing divers. We bagged 3 golden eye one ringer and a greenhead. Best hunting in the last three days was the back yard.

Neat report duane,

I figured you were on the prowl because you hadn't posted. Next time you go to Schell I will deliver some goose jerky to you. Only twenty minutes or less from the house,

I will let you know Marty. How can a man turn down an offer like that. I think that is the perfect excuse to have to go back to Shell next week. "Honey, I have to go. Marty has some jerky for me. It's not to go duck hunting....Really!"

Spent the last two days at Taney with the grandson. Only saw six ducks all day on Thursday & perhaps twelve today (Fri.)Dylan had a great time learning to set the decoys, blowing his new Mallard Tone calls & seeing the eagles.Do not know where the ducks have gone(saw more at the start of the season). Hunted above & below Rockaway. Did have a mallard drake buzz the decoys this A.M. but we both missed. May need to change lakes.

Man o man it has been some tough hunting the last couple of weeks. We got a few birds a couple of weeks ago and we've been stale for a while now. The birds are all just north of us waiting for some ice to come down. I was out again this morning hunting a cove by the dam on TR and we saw 2 ducks flying sky high at day break. That was it. I was considering hunting Taney tomorrow, but I guess it's still the same down there.....no ducks. I guess I'll keep hunting the points on TR and playing with the divers untill we get some nasty weather.
