Put in at Viney at 10am. Tried some SB,jerk baits, drop shot worms, jigging spoons, and a few others. WINDY points, coves, front to back with no luck, 2 dinks on drop shot. Water temp 46-47, off at 3pm. Will try again tomorrow, maybe in the Kings. Wonderful to be out and on the water with such nice weather. Anyone have any luck and advice. Duck.

Fished Aunts Creek yesterday from 9-3 and caught 8...but caught 5 of those in about 8 cast off one stretch of docks. Just threw a shad pattern jerkbait all day.

I caught some good ones the other day at Beaver on a wiggle wart. You guys try those at all? I had no luck on jerkbait. I didn't throw it very much cuz of wiggle wart bite.

I am one of those strange guys who works on things and doesn't worry about how many I catch. I had 1 rod on deck all day last trip and just kept throwing a jerkbait. I haven't taken my cranking sticks out of the box all Fall but I know they work especially since 3 spots I caught the other day were spitting up craws. I might just throw a wart all day next trip for something different.

Fished three days last week up to new years day and had two warts tied on and a A-rig. Fished Baxter up the creek arms and caught 14lbs of fish with a bunch of 14 inchers on a wart. The biggest came on the A-rig that was the only one I caught that day on the A-rig. Fished Campbell point area the next day and caught a bunch of short non-keepers on the wart and two keeper kentuckies on the A-rig. Fished Kings river New Years day and caught a limit on the wart in the first 20 minutes and kept catching them all day long never laid the wart down that day. However, never got the bonus big bite I was wanting to up grade. Had to crank the wart down and then crawl the bait over the rocks. Once there was pressure you would feel a little head shake and just keep reeling and bring the fish in. No worries of losing them most of the fish had the bait down their throats.

Alright I will throw a wart this weekend :D

Great report and looking back on some of my previous years journals I had some of my best days on a wart in mid 40's water temps. I love crawling that thing on the bottom and it feeling like a leaf is on it only to see that big green flash down in the water. Time to spool some 8lb test on the ole cranking sticks and see what happens this weekend.
