drew03cmc Posted January 22, 2012 Posted January 22, 2012 Liv, I don't believe that to be didymo. I would call that ordinary moss that you see on the bottom of all of our streams. Andy
Members Liv2flyfish Posted January 22, 2012 Members Posted January 22, 2012 It is Didymo. It was confirmed to me by a fly guide was explaiing the problem. I know what moss looks like. I am an avid fly fisher. I love fishing the Ozarks and the White River watershed from the spring creeks to the tailwaters.
drew03cmc Posted January 22, 2012 Posted January 22, 2012 Oh well, I am not opposed to being wrong. Andy
fishinwrench Posted January 22, 2012 Posted January 22, 2012 While you're getting MVP's expert analysis, ask him when the last time he actually waded a trout stream was.
drew03cmc Posted January 22, 2012 Posted January 22, 2012 I made an observation, that from my research, that didn't look like didymo, or how didymo is normally seen. Andy
Flysmallie Posted January 22, 2012 Posted January 22, 2012 Drew, I think you need to read this again. Nobody attacked you. I had to read it again too just figure out who Wrench was talking about. Â Â
drew03cmc Posted January 22, 2012 Posted January 22, 2012 Oh well Ronnie, isn't a big deal either way. I am a big boy. I gotcha now. Thanks for the correction. Andy
fishinwrench Posted January 23, 2012 Posted January 23, 2012 LOL, I caught that earlier, but I was gonna wait until he fired back to set him straight. See how I roll?
drew03cmc Posted January 23, 2012 Posted January 23, 2012 I see ya wrench. Don't worry about it. Andy
Members Liv2flyfish Posted January 25, 2012 Members Posted January 25, 2012 This month on Liv2flyfish Radio our guest is Mark Van Patten, Missouri Department of Conservation Stream Coordination Biologist. We talk about Didymo in Missouri streams and the felt sole ban. This a very informative and important issue. It's free at www.liv2flyfish.com and on Itunes. Please spread the word, not the Didymo. Thank you. I am an avid fly fisher. I love fishing the Ozarks and the White River watershed from the spring creeks to the tailwaters.
