If we hunt that windmill pond, I'd say Thursday on a North Wind. If I remember right, there is a little more hide over on that North side towards the tree line. It would be hard to hide on that levy on an East wind. What do you think?

Marty, The location's I gave you in the PM "D" being the first letter is holding about 300, I went by today and saw them on the furthest pond to the North. No Gun so No dead geese.. They are using it for a midday loaf as they were not there this morning when I went by.. You might want to go check it as well.. Also 5 ponds near it holding large numbers including some itty bitty baby geese AKA Richardson's

I got the traditional Bow Hunt this weekend or I would be all over them.

Slider,

You should try it sometime. Waterfowling is a great way to rid yourself of uneeded income, practice sleep deprevation, making excuses and lying. :)

Its all those and so much more... Oh and more fun then should be legal and some great eating... Sadly though there is no HELP group for this addiction.... Someone tried to start one once but at the First meeting the members shot her and then her husband for allowing her to do it...

Its ok for us to lie but that chick shouldnt have said Free Beer and GPS Numbers at the Duck Meeting.. Sign at the door said Duck Hunter Intervention Meeting... Talk about making a bunch of rednecks angry.. lol... Besides think about it.. You get to shoot a gun, Kill sumptin, then eat it :)

We will make it a hunt Thursday at the windmill then. Yes the levee is bare but that is where I have been hiding the two time I hunted there and it worked. I will have my two layouts if we want to use them. I used it the times there and just surrounded it with big foot's Might be I am just removing the not so smart geese from the gene pool. Mike has put a lock on the gate there. He said it is not to keep us out and to use the North gate. We have had four arson fires Sunday night and two of them close to his house. One burned a bunch of hay bales less than a mile from his house, not his hay but a bummer for someone for sure.

Scott that sounds like work. I'm telling you I make it easy because of necessity and it is working for me here. Maybe my willy nilly decoy spread looks good or like I said I am removing the stupid geese maybe. Sure I have had myself ignored but last year I have had fifty plus come to a dozen field decoys at once. Got more decoys now to help. Will have Bird watcher teach me something too :)

Marty, I just asked because it sounds liek this place has the perfect oppurtunity for a dig-in. Oh and a dozen decoys is sometimes to much lol.. I went up against a Guide a few years back who had well over 1000 snow decoys out and i put out only 9 and sucked every bird in. My favorite saying fishing or hunting is "Match the Hatch" You would be shocked at how a few decoys will work over a mass spread.

Chris will surely teach you a few tricks. But 38 years has taught me one thing.. Just when i think i figured them out they make me feel like a complete blithering idiot left scratching my head.... Lord thats why i love going back after them. You never will know it all and figuring them out is 90% of the fun.

Thats perfect you already are fitting in. This is a Iron reducer as it makes you forget about them and do whatever it takes to do it! Heck I married a woman who likes to do it even lol. Mrs Jammie is a dead shot a math teacher and used her Teacher brain to inform me ( 2 license's = double the possession limit ) AKA more duck and goose for her lol.. See makes you do strange things like find womene who like it...
