Members Metz Posted January 24, 2012 Members Posted January 24, 2012 This will be my first time fishing the White and I was wondering how everyone felt about using live shiners as bait. I am heading over the first week of March. Also, what are some other techniques to catching big browns?
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted January 24, 2012 Root Admin Posted January 24, 2012 I've posted a couple of articles on ozarkanglers/white-river just last week. Also see Steve Dally's site, that's linked on those articles, for info.
Members zbarker Posted January 24, 2012 Members Posted January 24, 2012 What are some tactics for catching walleye on the White? Heard they have been catching a few up by the darn.

Members Metz Posted January 24, 2012 Author Members Posted January 24, 2012 Also, I plan on staying around the state park and I was wondering if there was any deep holes in the area.
cnr Posted January 24, 2012 Posted January 24, 2012 Be careful of the regulations, and my advice for your first time on the White is to hire a guide. They have a wealth of information and can help you learn the river in a productive and safe manner.

Might add many drown every year, it is not forgiving in high water....Hire a guide, call Rim Shoals 870-435-6144 he will hook you up with what you need. g “If a cluttered desk is a sign, of a cluttered mind, of what then, is an empty desk a sign?”- Albert Einstein
