Gavin Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 Have 4 Thule low riders, a 48" round bar, 72" round bar, and 8 load stops that I want out of the garage. Should clamp to any vehicle with factory rails. Was on top of my Jeep for 10-12 years, still good. $75 pick up in STL. Does not work on my current ride(pickup).
Haris122 Posted February 24, 2015 Posted February 24, 2015 Would that be everything you'd need to have a roof rack or is there any more? You know if it works on an Alero? Cause at the store they told me they didn't have a Thule model that did.
LarrySTL Posted February 26, 2015 Posted February 26, 2015 If you go to Thule's website, there is a simple search thing you can plug the year and model, etc of your car and click a button and it will tell you what parts you need, complete with parts numbers, or tell you they dont make parts for it. If Thule doesnt make them, Yakima might and they have a similar way to search. IMO there were lots of Aleros made so I'd be surprized if neither of those two made roof racks for them. http://intervenehere.com

Cause at the store they told me they didn't have a Thule model that did. You would need more than what Gavin has since your Alero doesn't have factory rails. Yakima makes a rack that fits an Alero. Inno and Thule do not. http://www.yakima.com/fit/partner/?partnerId=8&showWhispbar=true#null -- JimIf people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles. -- Doug Larson
Haris122 Posted January 28, 2016 Posted January 28, 2016 It's way late, but I actually wound up trying the inflatable handy rack thing, and it has worked pretty good so far. Granted its definitely vulnerable to someone puncturing it with a knife, but thankfully each time that I left it on the car, no one messed with it. Once I got some extra straps and tied it down a bit more, I even took it as far as Mark Twain Lake. I have to say I'm very glad I got it, cause a real roof rack would've been too expensive for the age of my car I think.
