Feathers and Fins Posted February 9, 2012 Posted February 9, 2012 Good ole Michael Scott. He cracks me up everytime. Getting ready to start reading "The Man Eaters of Tsavo" - a true story that was recently adapted for a movie which I haven't seen yet. Its from the early 1900's and is about a pair of lions that got a taste for human blood and these british chaps were trying to build a railroad bridge in Africa, and these lions were apparently not having any of it, so they kept dragging off the workers (about 100 or so) and eating them one by one. The movie is ( The Ghost and the Darkness ) Very good movie but Hollywood put its spin on the story. The actual two lions are at The Field Museum of Natural History in Chicago. If you read the Patterson journals it would have made a far better movie. But in 96 Douglas and Kilmer sold by their names so Hollywood took its liberty. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856

FishinCricket Posted February 9, 2012 Posted February 9, 2012 So you come in here with your bullspit biology and I don't buy it so that makes me a keyboard jockey? Mkay. Also, please enlighten us as to what states have recently canceled their mtn. lion season. You tell him, sport!! cricket.c21.com
FishinCricket Posted February 9, 2012 Posted February 9, 2012 Oh good, another multiple page mountain lion thread. Because we really do need more of those. Oh good, another member bitching because people are discussing things on a DISCUSSION forum... Heaven forbid! lol cricket.c21.com
Justin Spencer Posted February 9, 2012 Posted February 9, 2012 Only so much you can talk on fishing. Cast, retrieve, drift, set hook, reel in, release or keep. Cook, eat. Those of us trying not to actually work need to do something, plus mountain lions are cool! ness Posted February 9, 2012 Posted February 9, 2012 No OTF -- this thread's completely different than all the others because, so far, no one has said 'MDC denies the existence of cougars in MO' yet. John

I learned early on, on the internet there will always be someone who has to complain about something even though it takes less time to not type the complaint and hit send, then it does to type the typicaly useless banter belittling post and hit send... But hey that post normally get a bunch of people replying and wondering why they even posted it. Noone has ever came up with the answer to it though.. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856

Well okay, you're probably right...I'm capable of my share of stupid posts, no shock to anyone. I have deleted the ones in this thread because they were in fact totally useless, even more so than usual for me. Anyway, I'm off to do something productive for a little while.

That's cheating if you delete posts, wish I knew how to do that!
