Sorry to hijack, But, what is Moose Drool? Is it a local beer? The topic has been entertaining, and I will throw in my 2cents. You can get a ticket for anything any officer wants to ticket you for. It is up to you to contest the legality of it. (innocent until proven guilty, HA!).

Eric, Not all Hoosiers leave glass in the creeks/rivers, Not JUST Hoosiers leave glass in the creeks and rivers. I hope that by me being a South St Louis Hoosier would not prevent us from being able to fish together. ;-) I practice Leave No Trace.

These are the guys you have to convince...

They don't scare me as I don't consiously break any laws that they would have problems with. I would offer them a dew also. We may not use the same slang, but we could get along just fine.

Eric, Not all Hoosiers leave glass in the creeks/rivers. Hell, Mountain Dew only comes in plastic now anyhow. Not JUST Hoosiers leave glass in the creeks and rivers. Thanks Brian, you got us the final word from the US Forest Service. The confusion may be exactly what Ozarkgunner stated - the Missouri statute is different from the US Forest Service regulations and the USFS would supercede the Missouri statute on the National Ozark Scenic Riverways including the Eleven Point River.

SO NO GLASS ON THE ELEVEN POINT RIVER UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES!!

Sorry Snap, this Moose Drool for Brian and me is on you. :graffiti: Don't you hate it when I'm right!!

Moose Drool is a craft beer popular out West and making it's way into Missouri. Moose Drool is brewed by Big Sky Brewery in Missoula, Montana and is a full bodied stout brown ale with a hint of brown sugar, caramel, and malt. In other words, strong beer that will have you buzzing after 2 or 3! :have-a-nice-day:

Oh ya, Bison Ale from the Crown Valley Brewery. There is a little Cajun Bar and Grill on the square in Fredricktown that has Moose Drool on tap, which is better than a bottle or can. Food is good too, just pack a pistol as it is a rough crowd.

As far as glass in established MO campgrounds, it is legal. The law was to prevent the broken glass on the streambeds and the cuts it was causing to feet. Most FS agents are checking at accesses during the summer for glass.

There are a few private campgrounds in Ark that don't allow it in the campground either.
