Actualy for a short time after I retired christmas of 97 I was an intern at KDHX radio with Roy ST John and Otis Woodward's morning show and we were the offical opening of Mardi Grass in Stlouis at Off Broadway we had help from people like Barbara Carr (talk about a babe who could take over a stage), And Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Johnny Johnson who passed away not that long ago. I have had the pleasure of being in New Orlean's a couple times for Mardi Gras. It was a blast and makes our version a bit tame in comparsion. Saw some things that can best be described as very disturbing, but strangely entertaining. It was kind of like looking at a car accident...you know you shouldn't stare but you can't help it.

I waved at you Gavin as I drove down I-55 with the canoe in the pickup. I paddled upstream on the St. Francis from Coldwater Access and fished a jig and a wigglewart on the way down. The next day I tried to wade the Castor by Marquand but the water was too high. The water was too cold for the fish to get excited about anything but it was the cure for cabin fever.

If you could have hit Marble Creek you would of fished my favorite Smallmouth streams from the 70's and early 80's along with Flucom Creek before it was polluted. Those were fun days.

Candy and I camped at Marble Creek last May during the week. It was a hoot catching fish right from the campsite.
