Anyone ever use this Lure before? I haven't, but it intrigues me. I bought one (was $3 at BPS). It calls for a 3-4" worm/creature of your choice. I got 2 in the pack and put a 4" Slider on one, 3" grub with crazy tail on the other. Thought I would give em a toss next time im out just to experiment. Any feedback from prior users would be appreciated though!

A lot like a Johnson Silver minow.....in function. Been around forever I would rig it weedless and drag it over lilly pads or some such surface vegitation. Never have used it much so I have no answers other than that. A big pork frog chunk is what I would use to try to ski it across surface veggies.

Good pond and small lake bait, or big lakes with grass. It is not a scrounger head, but falls in there with those and bladed jigs. Try running a straight worm, zoom finesse or generic float type worm with the flat tail.

Anyone remember the old creme version of the scrounger that used an indiana type blade on the head instead of the flexible plastic?

Wobblehead's originated in the Monroe, La area. I was all but forced by law to use them some when I lived in that area.

The only way I rigged them was with a straight tailed worm. Floating worms or Creme worms.

The only way I successfully fished them was slow and steady winding them in around vegetation or wood cover on flats.

Kinda of a strange bite. Fish seem to nip at it some before they take it. I had to make myself wait until the line got heavy before I set the hook.

I still own several heads and the worms to use with it, but I don't seem to fish water that would make me reach for it.

I have a few in my tackle box caught a few fish on them worked best around weedy banks. Ineed to realy give them another try or get rid of them i bought them trying to duplicate the Lazy Ike wiggly worms wich was made in the 60s or 70s and caught me a lot of fish. It was a not very soft pre rigged with 2 hooks on a jig head with a metal crank bait like bill. Fished real slow around vegatation just under the surface. They stopped making them a long time ago.

That would be the problem. Unless you want to count rock snot and lawn mower clippings, we just don't have the grass for it. Might be able to make it work for schoolies. Chatterbait type jigs will work for them sometimes.

Wobble Head is the same as the Biffle Bug, right? If so, yeah, I've fished them plenty. Was throwing them on Beaver again today, actually. Caught a really nice fish on one last week. I use the Sweet Beaver/Biffle Bug type trailers on them. The fish in my avatar picture was caught on one last spring.

Nope. It's a little strip of bent metal that you run a little straight tail worm behind. Kind of swims like a spoon. Came from TX/LA along with wacky worming, for use over the grass down there.

That was the one I mistakenly attributed to creme. We used to throw them in IA farm ponds when I was a kid. Dumb looking, but fish catching.

I wondered with you guys talking about worms behind them. The biffle bug type lures are also called wobble heads. Guess I need to start including the "jig" part when I talk about them.

Yea, wobble head has become a generic name for a number of lures. I buy wobble head jigs from a guy near Dale Hollow that work well on Gulp Minnows. I also have the biffle type wobble heads but I haven't used them very much.
