Tfsh4bass Posted March 9, 2012 Posted March 9, 2012 Any word on water temps up in the James around Bridgeport? I had a couple buddies crappie fished up there Sun and said it was 52-53
dtrs5kprs Posted March 9, 2012 Posted March 9, 2012 I threw a swimbait and blade in pockets but didn't have any takers...got bumped twice on a blade. I caught everything on a black/gold/orange jerkbait which is my favorite color on cloudy days on Trock or Bull. Water was 49.7 to 51.2 everywhere I fished. That is a way overlooked color. Especially like it in the old big Rogue. Thanks for the info.

cullinby9 Posted March 9, 2012 Posted March 9, 2012 That is a way overlooked color. Especially like it in the old big Rogue. Thanks for the info. I thought I had a little secrect on the old brown and orange rouge I didn't think many people threw that color. I've had a few big bags on it at lake O. Snowy or really dreary days I put it on and throw it all day they eat it.

I was hunting smallmouth in the shallow pea gravel pockets and caught 5 but found a few good blacks were hanging around also.
