Anyone ever fished Little Calvey Creek on the east boarder of Robertsville State Park? The creek runs into the Meramec.

yep

Now the question would be, is that answer short and sweet because the creek isn't worth talking about, or because it was so good that he doesn't want to say anything else about it? :)

Yes...while "brevity is the soul of wit", it would be nice to hear about the entire experience. Briefly... :secret-laugh:

I was kidding it's okay my sister has property along it and at certain times of the year it seems some decent smaliies migrate up into it for some unknown reason but there just isn't enough water to really worry about. The creek itself is actualy beautiful and I once read a report form the MDC about Calvey and Fox creek both having way more smallies back in the day but like most small creeks in Jefferson County they have both gone downhill from what they used to be.The times I have fished I have encountered a few less than savory fellows that I wouldn't trust my vehicle around so beware.

Caught my first smallie ever on Calvey. But like said above, it gets pretty small in the summer with only a few holes big enough to keep fish. I've caught more small spots in it than anything. Fun to wade.

Seriously...darn.

I'm still looking for my weekday honey hole. Anyone got one close to STL send me a PM? I promise to not overfish, C&R, and clean up my trash.
