exiledguide Posted March 16, 2012 Posted March 16, 2012 Not having a PHD In economics maybe you could explain all the economic benefits again. If I understand it, people who wouldnot be fishing are now fishing because of this rig. You talk about people paying ramp fees, buying meals, gasoline ,etc. I believe they already are doing that. Other than the sales of the rig and the bait components I don't see a lot of economic increases at the Lakes. I might be wrong so if you have a dollar figure for the increase say for Table Rock Lake I'd be interested to hear it. I don't have an opinion about the pros and cons of the A Rig only question the economic claims.

Feathers and Fins Posted March 16, 2012 Posted March 16, 2012 Guide a good friend of mine is a Bait Shop owner in South Florida and he has told me his sales since the A-rig made news down there ( about Jan) has been up 300%. I can say from my end I didnt fish less than I normally would this time of year but I have spent more money because of the A-rig. I would normally spend about 60$ a month this time of year but because of the A-rig and really wanting to find out about it I have spent an additional 500.00 over the last 2 months. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856
ColdWaterFshr Posted March 16, 2012 Posted March 16, 2012 Welcome to the forum DBAG, I've always wanted to give a warm welcome to a DBag, but you beat me to it Forsythian. I don't know about any of y'all, but do you ever get that not so fresh feeling?
ozark trout fisher Posted March 16, 2012 Posted March 16, 2012 As I've said before, anyone who wants to get tangled as many times as you would using 4 or 5 hooks at a time should have at it, purely for the entertainment value. My only stipulation is that I reserve the right to laugh. I don't know about ya'll, but a two fly dry-dropper rig is about all I can handle...Add three or four more hooks in there and I'll never get the thing in the water.

Thanks F&F Thats the the type of info I was looking for. I'd like to hear from others. Also I was talking to Mike Webb a couple of weeks ago and he told me that he thinks this will be a good rig to use in drop shotting.
