My brothers just found this in a golf course pond. No whiskers

Haha! No, it was dead, they found it floating in the water so they pulled it up onto shore. It does look pretty beat up though.

They always look like that, even the healthy living ones. Undoubtedly the ugliest, stinkinest, and most undesirable "thing" that swims in our waters.

How'd the heck one of them get in a golf course pond? This is how these things get spread all over our country. Somebody stocked em thinking they were grass carp. Ever notice how many people that are not real savy about fish species refer to all carp as grass carp? Seems to have gotten worse over the last 20 years. 20 years ago carp was carp......now we have at least 4 species in the the USA and they are all imports.

I snagged one the other day fishing for hybrids and whites on the Mississippi.I successfully released it a less than healthy state, then I thought what's the sense.

The ponds do have triploid grass carp, I have seen them before. This is the second bighead carp they have pulled out of this certain pond
