Its getting dark so late, I have not noticed.

Let's see...the redbuds are already about done blooming--usually they don't start blooming until a week or so into April. A lot of people have already found a lot of morels...I found a couple of the big tan-colored ones today while fishing. And...I was wet-wading--comfortably.

And...I was wet-wading--comfortably.

I did the same 2 weeks ago. Although, I didn't quite get waist deep.

Fished one of the smaller community lakes today, bass are on the beds. And not just one or two, looks like peak spawn time already.

bass in northern mo are on beds already, some morels are up but are small and you walk along way for them.....and there are spiders in my basement.....yay

Fish always lose by being "got in and dressed." It is best to weigh them while they are in the water. The only really large one I ever caught got away with my leader when I first struck him. He weighed ten pounds.

I just went out on my kayak and the bass and bluegill in the local ponds are behaving like you would expect them to in May, not March...I'm already starting to get some on dries in the evenings. After I got done fishing today, I went swimming, which I think pretty much sums up our weather so far. We just didn't really have a winter this year, and now it seems we're headed straight into summer.
