Crappie Is Spawn Is On

My family and I were down on Friday April 6. We fished around the 5MM and we ended up with 17 keepers, all were around 15' deep and at the end of the docks. I had 4-5 females with very small egg sacks. They were not ready to spawn yet. There bellys were so small I thought I had all males. Some may have spawned, but not all.

We fished out of PA He Tsi today and only managed 7 keepers and had a few other keepers pop off at the boat. It was very tough fishing. Most of the keepers we got came from two tree tops that came from the bank and extended out in to the water a ways. Only had one female.

There were some people with a nice stringer of crappie at the boat ramp dock. They were just fishing minnows under a float. Sure made me wish I had bought some minnows on the way up.

Fished with Big Country monday and it was tough 1 here 2 there minnows would have been nice to have but I didnt want any oh well. Had a couple on yum minnow smelt color plus blue gill that wernt to bad
