Bubbas Dad Posted April 13, 2012 Posted April 13, 2012 My friend caught this walleye this afternoon in Beaver Creek throwing smoke colored swimming minnow with black spots. It measured 34 inches long and weighed just over 10 pounds. We finally got the skunk monkey of my boat on FRIDAY THE 13TH.
duckydoty Posted April 13, 2012 Posted April 13, 2012 Great fish....Releasing that one into the grease????? I would! A Little Rain Won't Hurt Them Fish.....They're Already Wet!! Visit my website at.. Ozark Trout Runners
Bubbas Dad Posted April 13, 2012 Author Posted April 13, 2012 Thanks Yeah its gonna be a hot oil bath for sure.
vonreed Posted April 14, 2012 Posted April 14, 2012 a 34 inch walleye is a monster. I caught 1 that was 31 inches and weighed 10lb 12oz. And a friend caught one 31inches and 13lbs. With eggs that would have been a lot bigger I imagine.
Wayne SW/MO Posted April 14, 2012 Posted April 14, 2012 Good job. Was it up in the creek? Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
Bubbas Dad Posted April 14, 2012 Author Posted April 14, 2012 Thanks guys. It was about 200 yards up fro,m the mouth of beaver along the bluff side. It was spawned out it would have surely weighed alot more a few weeks ago.
minnowhooker Posted April 14, 2012 Posted April 14, 2012 Nice fish....I would be hanging that on my wall
Ham Posted April 14, 2012 Posted April 14, 2012 That's a toad. I think I'm going to start releasing all my walleye over 25 inches. If they are in between 18 and 25 inches, they are in trouble. Every Saint has a past, every Sinner has a future. On Instagram @hamneedstofish
