Terry Beeson
I think I'd be more worried about the claws than the leprosy... Most human leprosy contracted from 'dillos came by eating undercooked 'dillo meat... Anyone for a little 'possum on the half-shell? Wayne SW/MO
"Send 'em back to Texas" does sound like it could be a hit for Asleep At The Wheel, what rhymes with Armadillo? Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.

RiverRunner
http://www.agfc.com/critters/wildlife_misc_p2.html#Armadillo Interesting article These things are the loudest thing in the woods, On a quiet morning, it seems that you can hear them coming from a mile away. ollie
I remember as a kid we only saw them in pictures and never dreamed of them coming this far north. I moved away to St. Louis in '87 and when I came back to SW MO in '94 they were everywhere! A kid at work swears they got here form under truckers trailers. lol "you can always beat the keeper, but you can never beat the post" There are only three things in life that are certain : death, taxes, and the wind blowing at Capps Creek! snagged in outlet 3
Hey Ollie thay have made it to the missouri River. Only a matter of time before they cross it. I'm sitting in a porta-john at Mcclellans in the dark about 4AM. I have the door open for ventilation and all of the sudden I hear something coming straight at me from the woods. I'm in a real bad perdicament as you can understand when finally my flashlight catches sight of the beast. It's two dillo's headed straight toward me while I kind of back up the back of the john. Right at the last minute they split a part and go right around either side of the john. Whew!!!!!! I had to put off my business for a while. Night fishing was good though!! Snagged. gonefishin
ROFL Snagged. I have never heard of anyone being charged by Armodillos before. Sounds like those were probably the South American Man Killing Dillos. You are lucky cuz I never heard of anyone who survived a 'dillo stampeed. :) I would rather be fishin'. Terry Beeson
I had to put off my business for a while. Night fishing was good though!! You sure that didn't assist you in "finishing your business?" Wayne, Amarillo rhymes with Armadillo... but Gary P Nunn has that one wrapped up...
