bluebasser86 Posted May 4, 2012 Posted May 4, 2012 They have a very good spitting and walking action. It's similar to the action of a Lucky Craft Gunfish but I think the flat profile when it turns on it's side to glide looks very much like a dying shad kicking around on the surface. It seems to look like an easy meal that is very appealing to big fish as most fish I catch on it are bigger than average topwater fish. I think I got mine for 5.99 at BPS in Olathe Ks.
Stoneroller Posted May 4, 2012 Posted May 4, 2012 The rubber nets, IMO, are easier on the fish. Since I CR all bass and small walleye, that is important to me. I do wish they were lighter and didn't "bounce." the rubber nets are easier on the fish, don't snag hooks and are extremely durable. they now have the knotless nets that are dipped in rubber, making for a lighter net than the full rubber ones. dtrs5kprs Posted May 4, 2012 Posted May 4, 2012 Norman lures makes the Top Dollar. They are very inexpensive. Try them. They work. That covers it. RPS was kind enough to show them to us all a couple of years ago. Super bait that throws better than it looks like it would. Had a few specatcular days with it since 2010. I do swap out the hooks, and put a nice tied feather on the rear hanger. Now...my pockets are reasonably deep, or at least I don't worry if I am bass poor, but that is a lot of paint work. Should have bought an airbrush set-up. Would have given you another hobby to be obsessed with.
David Unnerstall Posted May 4, 2012 Posted May 4, 2012 Why can't fifteen minutes go by when I don't see some bait I don't have but desperately need? Now it is the "Top Dollar"! I was just at the tackle store yesterday.
