Now these next are of a family of Cardinals living outside my back door, The parents will come sit on the table when im having my morning coffee and take seed from my hand. They have been here for two years nesting in the same spot and will let me get very close to them, I suppose its a truest they have built so I thought I would share that trust. All these pictures were taken from less than 5 ft from them.

My brother in law Barry is a huge birder. Lives in Venice, FL. We've traveled to Costa Rico and Guyana with them on birding trips... really enjoy birding myself. Just can't take time out from fishing to do much of it.

Here are some white pelican pictures I took yesterday at sundown from our living room window out here in Montana...the first one shows a flock sitting on the gravel bar. Both pelicans and geese often sit on this gravel island, and the geese often roost on it overnight because they are fairly safe from predators. The rest of the photos show the pelicans flying...the first flock left the bar and flew upstream as it got close to dark, and then at least sixty more came by flying the same direction.

Today there was a pair of eagles right outside my studio door, and if I had my big lens I could have gotten the pair full frame. The wind was really honking, and their head and neck feathers were all ruffled. The male (the smaller of the two is always the male) was blocking off part of the wind from his mate, but he was also burying his head in her side at times. I watched them for quite a while, knowing that if I left the studio, a separate building, to go to the house and get the big lens, they would have flown.post-218-0-94649200-1335915584_thumb.jpgpost-218-0-16297900-1335915604_thumb.jpgpost-218-0-71292400-1335915622_thumb.jpgpost-218-0-56612100-1335915640_thumb.jpgpost-218-0-75326600-1335915653_thumb.jpg

If fishing was easy it would be called catching.

Really neat pictures, to all of you. Thank you for sharing. I enjoy looking at nature while stuck inside.

F&F your pics of cardinals are awsome. I would consider myself a lucky man if I was able to have my morning coffee next to their nest. Great shots.
