Feathers and Fins Posted July 12, 2012 Posted July 12, 2012 Drove past it yesterday, looks like about another 3 to 5 days on the roof to be completed and still doing some exterior cosmetics but its looking like a Cabelas now. I cant make opening weekend there are stripers and geese that will need to be relocated to my BBQ. If you know where any geese are remember I have a great relocation program for them https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856

junkman Posted July 13, 2012 Posted July 13, 2012 This is lust my humble opinion but I hope yours is better then the one in KC. I thought I would go up there and check it out for my brother had mentioned they had a little better prices then BP. Got there and was really disappointed in the selection. If you wanted cloths why you could have had a smorgasbord but not into that. One of the items on my list was some crappie niblets but no, could not find any. wanted as well to look at the difference between the abu 6500 c3's and c4's for my brother had bought one on line, but when I went to look at them they didn't even have any to look at. The more I looked the more the urge came just to go down to BP. The urge won
exiledguide Posted July 13, 2012 Posted July 13, 2012 Just as a side note. I don't care who I buy from, I've been to Cabela's in Hazelwood and Pririe Du Chien and BPS in Branson, Gurney and St. Charles and have not been impressed whith any except BPS in Springfield and I haven't been to Cabela's big store but I did get an e-mail from Cabelas, free shiping if you use their visa card until sometime in October I've always got good service from both stores.
jeb Posted July 13, 2012 Posted July 13, 2012 It will be nice to have it here. I am looking forward to it. But having spent a LOT of time in much bigger Cabela's, I expect to be underwhelmed by the selection, especially for black bass fishing. It's just not their thing. Heck, even the BPS is Springfield does not excite me much. I'm kind of into higher end tackle, and they just don't carry much of it in the store, even though they show it on their website. I'm sure I'll still be spending the vast majority of my local tackle buying money at HLS. Those guys do a great job for me. John B 08 Skeeter SL210, 225F Yamaha
