eric1978 Posted May 30, 2012 Posted May 30, 2012 If that's petty bickering, I'd hate to see what you all consider a real feud. You'uns are tougher than I. Well it's petty bickering that escalates to extreme violence...but it started as petty bickering. A disagreement over the ethics of desertion, accusing a guy of making nasty with his dog, a stolen pig...that's pretty petty stuff if you ask me. Sprinkle in a little whisky and a little moron...you got yerself a real hot dang feud.
Wayne SW/MO Posted May 30, 2012 Posted May 30, 2012 Well it's petty bickering that escalates to extreme violence...but it started as petty bickering. Sprinkle in a little whisky and a little moron...you got yerself a real hot dang feud. Exactly, and then given the times it did emerge in to a last word, first blink, first flinch, sort of thing. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
Justin Spencer Posted May 30, 2012 Posted May 30, 2012 Good thing you can't shoot through the computer screen or I bet a few on this forum would have been shot after petty bickering escalated. Hate to admit it, but I'm watching the last part, hope Jonesy gets his girl (yes I know that's gay!). Quillback Posted May 31, 2012 Author Posted May 31, 2012 Well they did manage to work in a little fishing in the last episode. Would've been cool to see Jonesy land an 8# smallie, could've been the highlight of the whole series! I missed the last hour, got sleepy and hit the sack. They'll probably re-run this thing about a thousand times in the next few months so I'm sure I'll be able to see it if so inclined.
Chief Grey Bear Posted May 31, 2012 Posted May 31, 2012 The Hatfield/McCoy feud was essentially petty bickering... Petty bickering??? Maybe by todays standards but it surely was not petty in that day and time. Al Agnew Posted June 1, 2012 Posted June 1, 2012 I watched it and enjoyed it, except for some of the garbled accents where you couldn't understand what they were saying. It stayed pretty true to the real story as far as I can tell. The real characters WERE pretty mean and violent, and nobody was entirely in the right.
Justin Spencer Posted June 1, 2012 Posted June 1, 2012 I wondered how true to life it was, didn't know much about the feud before I watched it. Not the best series ever, but not the worst either.
