Gavin Posted June 12, 2012 Posted June 12, 2012 Very cool..is the Landing in North Fork Village or is it on the Dawt side of the river?
Wayne SW/MO Posted June 12, 2012 Posted June 12, 2012 Sounds good Justin, will have to make a mental note of that. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
Nortrad Posted June 12, 2012 Posted June 12, 2012 Very nice, and cool that you found some new fishing spots.
Justin Spencer Posted June 12, 2012 Author Posted June 12, 2012 It is on the Dawt side of the river directly across from the huge Cauvey cabin which is at North Fork Village, we are at the tail end of one of the biggest islands on the river(very little water on the backside of the island right now. It is just before the bend that takes you to the old "Monkey House". About 1/2 hour above Dawt if you are floating slowly. Justin Spencer Posted June 12, 2012 Author Posted June 12, 2012 Ouch! You paid for an ad but they didn't throw love at you? Just saw it......and am completely embarassed about that cover. The guy was french so that explains it all--should have had his wife in the front of the boat, she could cast AND was easy on the eyes. Not a good way for them to get a repeat ad. I didn't even know they were going to have an article about this area, but seems like a smart thing to do would have been to share some other outfitters names at the end (especially if you are a paying customer). Maybe Dawt and Rockbridge paid to be written up, but they don't even have an ad in the magazine. I know ROLF does advertise with them on a regular basis so glad they got a good write up. You can't deny that it is a great trout fishing destination. I like how in the picture it looks like you and his wife are laughing at him. Possibly the worst cast ever caught on film, and surely the worst to ever grace the cover of a magazine. Gavin Posted June 12, 2012 Posted June 12, 2012 Nice spot...Looking forward to a float below James on my next visit!
Members Aaron Mills Posted June 12, 2012 Members Posted June 12, 2012 Will send as many people your way as I can.
Nortrad Posted June 12, 2012 Posted June 12, 2012 Just got a copy of the latest Greene Magazine and you are in your driftboat with some clients right on the cover. There is an article inside on one tank trips from Greene county which includes going to the North Fork, and ROLF and Dawt Mill. No love for Sunburst, other than a paid for advertisement in the mag. Let's see the cover. We'll be the judge on the client, his spouse, and, the guide.
ness Posted June 12, 2012 Posted June 12, 2012 Congrats Justin! I hope it works out well for you guys. John
