Released huh? After it was baked in the sun for twenty minutes. Too bad, that's a great fish.

yep thats what im sayin... this pic was took at least 200' from the creek.

several posts on the fb page said the fish should have been released and then the dudes daughter posts that it was released.

That is an very nice fish. Hopefully there is some water near where they took this picture. I guess we have to give them the benefit of the doubt. Good for them.

Hell I feel terrible when I hold a fish up for 15 seconds to take a picture, most times I won't do it.

He is holding that fish at arms length from his body, sure makes it look a lot bigger than it actually is.

Totally agree with that Andy as I am the master of that.....I will say that dude looks kinda scrouny and by the distance he is holding from his body, that fish would be 19 and 1/4 inches give or take a centimeter. It's a sweet smallie for sure but nothing I would alert the county athorities about.....lol

Nice smallmouth but hope everyone practices and preaches good catch and release methods. Nothing worse than to stress all the already stressed fish out there. Educate those new to the sport and politely remind those that should know better. Limit the handling of the fish to a minimum and don't take them far from the water. Don't prolong photo ops if at all possible.
