Ok, so if you head south from the dam is that not considered the Long Creek Arm? I guess I must be real stupid, because I have been calling it that for years. It sure seems to be longer than 5 or 6 miles too. Guess I'm screwed then, thanks for the help!

You right, south of the dam is longcreek.. I always say I am in longcreek when I go under the bridge. 5 or 6 miles south of the dam would put you about the Arkanasas line , and Bills right its probably getting skinny down there.

I would think it would be alright as far as Cricket Creek, or everything in MO.

Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.

Gotta have a little thicker skln than that. Mouth of Long Creek is really at the Cricket Creek Long Creek Split. Below that or at the Junction is considered Table Rock Lake. Cricket Creek Marina, as you know is just below the split.

Long Creek in the 40 years I have fished here has never been judged below the 86 Bridge, In 40 years I have never heard anyone say I'm going to fish Long Creek and Pull into Persimmion or Beardsley. always above.or for that matter past Brushy Creek or at the mouth of Brushy. Anyone classified as fishing Long Creek has to go under the Bridge. Just what the Locals call it.

Don't quite agree with Denny on this one, saying anything South of the dam is Long Creek. Table Rock Lake State Park, Table Rock Marina, Jakes Branch, Big Cedar, Persimmon Hollow, Clevenger Branch, Beardsley Branch, Old 86, and even some parts of Combs Ferry on the South Side are on Table Rock Lake and Not Long Creek. Do agree with Denny when he says everything South of the Bridge can be considered Long Creek.

Even from the Bridge 6 miles up, will take you above the Youkum Split. Again, gets a little dicy at 912

As far a clarity it is a very green tint, but visibility is pretty good. If you get up Long Creek to the second bend past Youkum it gets into clear creek water, and shallow.

Good Luck

Well, even on the maps on this board it lists middle Long Creek as the state line area, therefore I figured the lower end would be from there to the dam. Sorry about the confusion.

I always considered being in Long Creek once you passed Gage's Marina and the ramp there, but thats just me. I don't include Brushy as Long Creek...so guess the Brushy/Long Creek split is where it start for me. My 2 cents.

Long creek dumps into the white right in front of the dam, so technically from there to Cricket creek is Longcreek arm. We just dont refer to it as Longcreek until you get under the bridge. So you are right Buckcreek. Bill lives on Longcreek arm and according to the Book Shepard of the Hills, all the mean people live on Longcreek ! :secret-laugh:

YES! I knew it! All I really wanted to know was the water clarity which Bill stated a few posts back. I didn't want to cause a new geographical survey to be undertaken and have the maps changed.
