From what I understand all National Forests in Mo. have a burn ban on, which would include fires along the 11 point, current, jacks, upper part of the NFoW, etc.

105º just leave your food in the sun, it will cook on it's own, there is no need for a fire anyway. it attracts bugs, bears, and the boogey man and gives away your position to the enemy.

yesterday on the lake the grill in the boat was 150 degrees with no fire. You can cook with that.

I don't know if anyone has taken notice but I have seen many small burns along roadsides sparked by a cigarette butt.

It sucks, a camp without a fire. But, who wants to burn down a forest? It is hot and dry everywhere. Humidity is low and all conditions are right. We don't need Obama coming to visit us like he did in Colorado.

There is a wildfire out of control in Missouri right now. They think it was caused by a cigarette butt.

We just had the fire dept here saturday night because the idiot neighbors tossed a smoldering/spent firework into the dumpster. toasted the dumpster and the door to the area it sits in. I'll get a picture tomorrow.
