exiledguide Posted August 3, 2012 Posted August 3, 2012 Somethng smells fishy here. I think someone is pulling your leg......
OzarkFishman Posted August 3, 2012 Posted August 3, 2012 What a dog pile here ... Was it a little stupid to break a computer screen??? Maybe. I forgot that none of you get mad and are living in complete sublime ... Is it hard to believe that you really got banned from the 3 lakes for mentioning something on a forum post??? YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This one is tough to wrap my head around .... we would all like more details about what exactly was said in the "in-person" conversation with the Whelan Security Officer. This is tough to believe the more I type ... one of 2 things happened, 1) the Whelan employee showed up at your house. 2) they some how knew your face, truck, boat and stopped you at the ramp or lake. Both are tough to believe. Fill us in ...
fishinwrench Posted August 3, 2012 Posted August 3, 2012 If a Whalen employee showed up at his house, the "employee" wasn't on the clock at the time. So how "official and binding" is this alleged banning?

Both are tough to believe. Fill us in ... I picked up a friend who works for Whelan who knew nothing about the post till he got to work that morning. It almost cost him his job from what I was told. His boss read the post after another officer brought it to his attention and said that it was a violation, that I was banned for Conspiring to Commit a Crime on City utilities property. So they Banned me from all three lakes. I did work under the same boss about 7 years ago when we all were at Securitas. They have known me for years and apparently have something against me as the ban was under personal intent by the ex boss. My life revolves around fishing I been making custom rods and working on reels since the 80's and making lures since 97. I think they just wanted to through a wrench in my life machine. I just find it ridiculous that they could go online and ban me for posting something online. Even if I mention their business name I know other fisherman around the area who have seen them change from Securitas to Whelan to what ever company they higher to patrol the local waters. But to go online and ban someone. Please tell me the logic in that where fishing is a crime and such. "Let me fish or else"
Feathers and Fins Posted August 3, 2012 Posted August 3, 2012 I have seen many trolling post in my life but this one is in the top 10 for sure. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856
OzarkFishman Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 Some people post and then think ... others think and then post ... To each their own!!!
Members AmericanAngler Posted August 4, 2012 Author Members Posted August 4, 2012 Lol, I just realized my name isn't on here I could have blamed it on my staff. Either way I still get to fish and have fun doing it bad part is I got to use more gas to get out of town. Plus I wont be able to sell products to the marina at Fellows till this clears up. ozarkgunner Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 You can't "ban" someone. Follow the rules and you will be fine. If you get a ticket a judge will throw it out. Angler At Law
Members AmericanAngler Posted August 4, 2012 Author Members Posted August 4, 2012 Actually they can ban a person as it is private property owned by CU. When on their banned list you don't just get a ticket, you get arrested for trespassing. But I understand what you mean and the rules are simple to follow at these lakes and parks. I don't know how many times I had beeen to Fellows this year but one time comes to mind. There was a whole family fishing then it got hot and they ALL STARTED SWIMMING IN THE LAKE. I waited to see what would happen and patrol never came by for hours. My fishing buddy asked are they allowed to do that now days? All I could say that day was I don't think so and showed him the signs by the fishing dock. "Let me fish or else"
