Members Jim Fish the Zarks Posted August 2, 2012 Members Posted August 2, 2012 It seems like the cold front, or just the change in weather has affected the bass. My typical points and cranks are very slow. Any suggestions?

Slow down, pull out your shakey heads and carolina rigs/drop shots and try to find the fish pulling off the points a little bit. I'm usually looking for deeper structure on my ff on the big lakes and tryin' to throw a worm in front of em. If that don't work, I usually head to the house...

Jerry Rapp Posted August 3, 2012 Posted August 3, 2012 Jim, it might very well be because of the full moon.

I like the Zoom MagII during the mid-day, and the Zoom Ol'Monster early and late. Color is up to you but grn.pumpkin and tequilla shad is what I use. Texas rig, pegged. 1/4 or 5/16 Just cast or work the worm into a piece of brush, pop it gently off a limb and swim it steadily back to the boat with the rod tip low. The bite is either a weightless feeling or feels like you picked up a leaf. When you feel that, sweep-set hard to the side and reel like a madman if they run towards you.
